Wow...just wow. I never thought I'd venture into solo territory but damn, I'm so glad I did. This album is pure fucking gold. It's not as dissonant as some SY stuff, but it's definitely Thurston-style song writing.
The point: Get this album now! I don't see how you could be disappointed.

I love it. I actually got way into that record before I was really into Sonic Youth, but the reason that I'd picked it up was because it was "that guy from Sonic Youth".

i've been listening to this quite a bit lately... solid album... hang out, feathers, ono soul... tasty stuff... really heavy sound... i don't know much about recording and shit but it sounds like the drums might be double tracked on some songs... or just high up in the mix... i dunno really but steve really packs a punch on this one...

the vinyl has been out for years i got it when i got the cd when it was first released. one green and one black vinyl.

all of lee's solo work is worth listening to, it is very different to thurston's and not song based at all

I think it's the "song-based" structure that appeals to me. It's a showcase for Thurston's songwriting skills away from the SY style. Sometimes a straightforward rock song is what I'm in the mood for.
