Hey I just got tickets. It's at the Paridise on March 29th. I've never seen the Boredoms play. Has anyone else? I'm thinking it will be a strange show. Looking forward to seeing Thurston by himself. I was also thinking of going to the Sonic Youth Nashville show.

Boredoms live = fantastic experience. Much as I love Thurston, if I was in your position I'd be getting more excited about seeing Boredoms than about seeing him.

I saw the boredoms without knowing a single song and it was a really memorable gig. Try to maybe get stoned if possible. Not my thing, but it worked for that show.

What do the Boredoms usually play live? I mean, mostly newer stuff? or is it improv? or older stuff?

They play material sounding similar to Seadrum but with even more depth as that album is now a few years old. None of the songs are very recognizable and definitely don't hope to hear anything off any previous albums but you will be BLOWN AWAY. I'm seeing them the following day, really excited.

Awesome concert! Three drummers, seven neck guitar, synth, crazy light orb things in the beginning. What exactly was the set list? was there one? three songs total?
