oh, i am bored... with previous albums, so many people had them even before they were leaked on the internet. with rather ripped it just doesnt happen... when is anyone going to post such topic and really mean it... i cant wait. i think that nowadays major labels are very cautious about sending advanced copies a lot earlier than official release date, becouse they know the album will imediately found itself on the internet and they will lose profit

i get quite a bit of pre release stuff leaked on net like the new liars, white stripes satan, cat power and yyy were the last few but i DO NOT CARE for advance copys of sy stuff. ive bought their stuff on day of release for years and then give it a listen.... cant wait for may, lightning bolt live, boredoms live and rather ripped!!!!!

i'm just listening to the thurston moore mp3s from the flywheel... i must say my initial reservations about rather ripped are evaporating to make way for giddy excitement... if it is leaked i think i will download it... i have been into sonic youth since a thousand leaves and have never done this before... the last three albums i got close to or on the day of release... but with broadband it's just so easy to crib stuff off the net... i will feel no guilt, i will still buy the vinyl when it comes out... i already have a lot of sonic youth CDs that i rebought on vinyl...
