No, I actually I love that piece, maybe even one of my favourites by them. I don't understand how there are so many fickle fans that claim to enjoy Sonic Youth, then bitch when do something new and fresh. "No improv! We want to hear Sugar Kane for the 300th time!"

thats not correct, they do like variation in the SY - they also like Dirty Boots.

so are the "aspect" tracks on the CD just edits of the SYR9 tracks, or somehow different tracks? thanks

some of quieter guitar/piano parts in "Theme de Simon" seem like they are about to segue into "Stil"/"Snare, Girl" but they never do

these are just snippets of the »original« tracks, in two cases without the fading effects:
M. Rabier (Aspect) is the end part of Dans Le Bois / M. Rabier, starting near 4:28, but without the feedback beeping
Jean-Baptiste À La Fenêtre (Aspect) is the end part of Jean-Baptiste À La Fenêtre, starting near 2:10
Alice Et Clara (Aspect) is the end part of Chez Yves (Alice Et Clara), starting near 1:03
Thème De Jérémie (Aspect) is the end part of Thème De Jérémie, starting near 3:12, but completely clean without the white noise
Thème De Simon is Thème De Simon
